AMBER SCHINKEL

Born here in Calgary, Amber grew up on a farm near Cochrane.

After graduating from Mount Royal College's Broadcast Diploma program, Amber began working at 660 News Radio in Calgary, before heading to Swift Current, Saskatchewan for a short stint as a videographer at an internet based TV station. From there, Amber headed to Global Lethbridge, where she spent two years working her way up the ladder working as a video journalist, weather anchor, producer and news anchor. She made the jump to Global Calgary in December and is thrilled to be back home.

When she's not working, you can find Amber riding her horse Wizard, camping, reading, or spending time with friends and family.
