Gord Bamford should definitely keep his day job.

The Lacombe, Alberta country music singer's latest album, Day Job, has earned him the most nominations of any artist for the 2010 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, which take place in Edmonton in September.

Bamford leads the pack with six nominations, including Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and Single of the Year for Day Job.

The 34-year-old is also up for the CCMA Fans' Choice Award along with Johnny Reid, Doc Walker, George Canyon and Corb Lund.

Lund didn't fare too badly himself. The alt-country rocker is up for five awards, including the Fans' Choice award, Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and Roots Artist or Group of the year, an award he has already scooped up six times.
