Born and raised in Calgary, Linda graduated from SAIT Polytechnic in 1988 with an Honours Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. Linda started her career that same year at Global Saskatoon, and since has enjoyed working an anchor, reporter and producer.
Linda has also been host and producer of Global's Woman of Vision series since it's inception in Calgary in 1998. Woman of Vision is a monthly segment that highlights the stories of inspirational women in the community.
In 2001, the Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA) nominated the special as Best Public Affairs Program. In 2002, Linda received the AMPIA Award as Best Anchor and in 2003 she accepted the Best Host award for the Woman of Vision Special.
Career highlights for Linda include hosting the live AMPIA Awards provincial broadcast, election nights and taking part in numerous charity events around Calgary, including a fund-raising dinner with former U.S. President Gerald Ford.
