Weekdays, Gord Gillies anchors Global Calgary's News Hour with Linda Olsen.
Gord is a native Calgarian who is thrilled to be working in his hometown. He cites covering the 1988 Olympic Winter Games as one of the highlights of his career. Gord loves the fact his job enables him to meet so many interesting people. He considers himself a "news junkie."
When not at work Gord spends all of his time with his wife Kandi and two children, Liam and Laura.

Favorite TV Shows: Still loves the Seinfeld reruns and The Simpsons.
Favorite People: Family - wife and kids! "My Mom continues to inspire me every day. My late step-dad was a wonderful and positive influence on so many levels. It was a thrill working alongside the late Ed Whalen for many years where I marveled at his dedication to work and the community."
Favorite Charities: The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, The Salvation Army, Hull Child and Family Services.
