Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Dallas has always had a special love for the city. After getting her Communications degree at the University Of Calgary, and Broadcast News diploma at SAIT, Dallas packed up everything to head north, to Dawson Creek, B.C. She spent one year reporting, anchoring and producing before moving to Lethbridge, AB to begin her career with Global.
In 2007, Global Calgary gave her the opportunity she had been waiting for, to come home. Since then she's done everything from producing the Morning News, to reporting, and now anchoring.
Her favorite moments are covering the triple murder trial of Jeremy Steinke and any chance to cover personal stories, one being a young Calgary soldier who lost his legs in Afghanistan. Also, she says "there's nothing like working an election day".
Favorite Movie: Pulp Fiction & anything else Quentin Tarantino.
Favorite Book: The Republic, Plato
When not at work, Dallas likes to spend her time at home, trying new restaurants, and with family, particularly at her parents ranch south of Calgary with the horses.
